Reiki uses a powerful form of Universal Energy, the life-force, which flows through all living things - it is a natural healing energy activated by intention, which stimulates the body's regenerative self-healing ability by promoting the free-flow of energy. Mikao Usui taught Reiki to his students by way of a lengthy "apprenticeship" giving them time to learn to build up and practice using the energy. Unfortunately, we in the west, live life at a far more hectic pace and expect to achieve results much more quickly. Many western people are now "attuned" to Reiki energy in one or two day sessions, which works well for some people, but others find that their lack of knowledge and experience leaves them feeling at a loss of what to do after they leave the training. Having experienced a two-year "apprenticeship" in achieving my own Reiki Master Teaching certificate, I am well aware of the need of many people to have information given in small quantities allowing time to "digest" and practice before the next session. I also accept that some people are already familiar with Reiki and other "energetic" therapies and need tuition tailored to suit their own needs. I am happy therefore, to discuss individual needs with clients and to offer them, either training in a small group that can meet over two sessions to talk over their experiences from the previous week, or personal tuition as required. With a Reiki Support Group to back-up the initial training, students will soon feel confident in their practice and able to treat themselves and others to this wonderful holistic therapy. All students will receive a certificate of training to the appropriate Degree, which will enable them to join the UK Reiki Federation as either an Associate, Practitioner, Master-Practitioner or Master-Teacher Member. After training at Level I students will be able to self-treat and also treat family and friends, pets and plants etc. With appropriate training and experience at Level II they will strengthen the energy further and be competent in working with others and sending distant healing. They will hold a Reiki Level 2 certificate and be able to purchase practitioner insurance and practice professionally. Valerie Lowe is a 'Master Teacher Member of the UK Reiki Federation' and provides full back-up with meetings of a Reiki Share Group for on-going support after training: This successful Reiki Support Group is held in Ashford and allows students to have continuous back-up after becoming attuned, with an opportunity to practice on others and share experiences with like-minded people. Enquiries are welcomed from prospective students at all levels for future training. I am happy to discuss individual requirements and plan courses at dates and times to suit the individual wherever possible. |

Classes outside of Kent Classes can be held in areas apart from East Kent if a small group is available in the suggested town.
